Successful candidates will apply firm practices to perform various types of engagements, including tax return preparations.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Preparation of year-end working paper files and financial statements in compilation engagements.

  • Preparation of corporate and personal income tax returns, and other types of returns as required.

  • Working closely with staff at varying levels from Staff Accountant to Partner.

  • Engaging with clients, as needed, to gather required information to complete assigned tasks.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • 4+ years of public accounting firm experience is required.

  • Canadian CPA designation is required.

  • Knowledge of ASPE, Income Tax Act and Excise Tax Act is a must.

  • Being a self-starter and results driven is a must.

  • Highly effective written, oral and interpersonal skills are required.

  • The ability to plan, prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner is required.

  • Knowledge of CaseWare and Taxprep or similar tax preparation software is an asset.

Intermediate Staff Accountant 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Preparation of year-end working paper files and financial statements in compilation engagements.

  • Preparation of corporate and personal income tax returns, and other types of returns as required.

  • Working closely with staff at varying levels from Staff Accountant to Partner.

  • Engaging with clients, as needed, to gather required information to complete assigned tasks.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • 1-2 years of public accounting firm experience is required.

  • Recent completion of Canadian CPA designation or completion of CFE is required.

  • Knowledge of ASPE, Income Tax Act and Excise Tax Act is a must.

  • Being a self-starter and results driven is a must.

  • Highly effective written, oral and interpersonal skills are required.

  • The ability to plan, prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner is required.

  • Knowledge of CaseWare and Taxprep or similar tax preparation software is an asset.
